The knights and there squires prepared for there journey. "You are well armed," said the King to the knights. On March fifth the knights set off on there great adventure. With sixty men on horseback they traveled through plains and forests. One day one knight said, "Lets take the pass that goes through the mountain." "It looks very risky," said Sir Lancealot. Forty men wanted to go through the pass, so they went through the pass.After a while they came across a Sphinx that blocked the path. Sir Lancealot said, "O Sphinx, what is your question." "What has four legs in the morning, two legs in the middle of the day, and three legs at the end of the day," asked the Sphinx. Sir Lancealot thought and thought, and finally came up with the answer. "It is a man," he said. "Yes," said the Sphinx. So they rode on until they came across a mountain. This time the odds were different. They were ten men to fifty.
